January 23, 2016 – SANDLOTT Sports is set to attend the annual Global Baseball Alliance (GBA) winter meetings, taking place in Ft. Meyers, FL January 26-27.  On the agenda for this year’s meetings for Tuesday are: 2015 annual review, status on the the newly enforced birthdate change that declares an athlete’s playing age, updates on progress for SANDLOTT, CABA, PG Super25, and The Series.  Also included are discussions on playing destinations, complex upgrades, review of the partnership between GBA and ASA (All Sports Accommodations), and local level league discussions.  Wednesday is set aside for GBA approved vendors, displaying their new and improved products.  “The GBA board represents an estimated 20,000 teams internationally.  These meetings and gatherings are invaluable for us, as we exchange ideas and information to improve the game of youth baseball.” -SANDLOTT Founder & President, Mickey Hiter.

The Global Baseball Alliance was founded in 2000.  Its mission is: “To develop and network together all of the major sanctions and youth baseball entities for the common good of the young baseball player, in order to build global alliances within.”
