This week we talk with Dee Jay Silver, and bring back a previous guest, DJ Rod Youree, to talk about the live music industry, and all that goes into being successful in it.


About our Guests: Dee Jay Silver is the first DJ ever signed to a major Nashville Record Label, RCA Nashville. He has been a top touring DJ/remixer/producer for the past 15 years, having played in premier venues in virtually every major market in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Open-format DJ/performer, Silver has been traveling the world playing every kind of event and venue from the largest nightclubs, high-profile celebrity parties and exclusive private events to massive sporting events, award shows, major music festivals and arena tours and all that’s in between. In April of 2014, Silver launched a nationally syndicated weekly radio show called “The Country Club with Dee Jay Silver.” Touring extensively with Jason Aldean (10 years) as well as, Chris Young, Kane Brown, Randy Houser, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Eric Church, Cole Swindell, Tyler Farr, Thomas Rhett, Luke Combs, and many more. He’s appeared at many major music festivals, including the CMA Music Festival, Rock The South, Faster Horses, FarmBorough, Watershed, Route 91 Harvest, Lake Shake Festival, Carolina Country Music Festival, Tortuga Music Festival and more. In addition to spinning at football games for the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys and University of Kentucky’s Wildcats, events for the Super Bowl, NASCAR races, National Finals Rodeo, Silver was the first DJ to ever play the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) and the American Country Awards (ACAs). In 2016, Silver played at the MLB All-Star Game in San Diego CA, Wrigley Field in Chicago, and Fenway Park in Boston (alongside Jason Aldean and Kid Rock) to add to the impressive list of venues he’s performed at. When not on tour, or at one of his many appearances, the current Nashville resident is also hosting residencies in Las Vegas, NV, Atlantic City, NJ, San Diego, CA, and Nashville, TN. He’s been rocking Tennessee Titans home games in front of 60,000 football fans, touring with Rascal Flats on their Flatts Fest Tour, and bringing the energy to clubs and parties all across the US. Having grown up in Nashville, Rod is a true open format DJ. He has shared the stage with artists of all genres, ranging from Flo Rida to Nervo, as well as legendary DJ’s like JazyJeff and Questlove! Whether it’s a sold out stadium, a national tour, private event, or nightclub, Rod is the perfect addition to any situation!
